Kona - Arriving

As usual for the evening before boarding an airplane, I did not sleep last night. Jim Watt picked me up from the Kona airport at 1:30pm (an hour late), and three hours later (after eating -- I went back to the Korean BBQ place I frequented last year when Kenny Liu an I were here), we drove back to the airport to pick up an extremely tired Douglas Seifert, with his requisite three large check-in bags. Jim drove home while Douglas and I wandered around Costco and Walmart looking for necessities like cat-5 ethernet cable, power strips, and individually-packaged dried seaweed. "I flew for the entire day to go to Costco," Doug lamented, but he perked up when he discovered that stores like Costco sell strange Asian food-stuffs in places like Hawaii.
