Say goodbye to line scalers

"The Samsung DVD-HD931 HD DVD Player ... includes a DVI/HDCP connector and will up convert and send out signals in the 480p, 720p and 1080i DTV picture formats. When used with DVI/HDCP DTV sets and monitors, the signals stay in the digital domain without D-to-A or A-to-D conversion."

This player uses the Faroudja FLI2310 controller. If it ends up looking good, I can get rid of my stupid line scalers that I use to process video for my display units (purposefully vague. :). But I suppose that I would want the output from the player to match my displays' native resolutions. So maybe I'll have to wait longer...

Unrelated: my cello is sounding faaantastic these days. I love dry weather. :)
