Adobe Application Manager update fails, errorCode 200

I'm trying to update CS5 using Adobe Application Manager, and I'm getting the following errors... > Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.4 Update There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later.

Unfortunately, Adobe's [Installation and launch errors | Creative Suite 5](http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/834/cpsid_83481.html) page doesn't list an errorCode 200. To update, I'm using Adobe Application Manager Version 1.0.179.0 running on a MacBook Air, Mac OS X 10.6.5.

Any ideas?

I also sent this in to Adobe Customer Service. Their first response was to tell me to manually update using a second administrator account on the machine. I tried that (it failed). Their second response was to tell me to uninstall and reinstall. Uninstall failed with an error.

I then tried running the [Adobe Creative Suite Clean Tool](http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs5clean.html), which deleted many Adobe files (but not all of them). Reinstalling CS5 Design Premium after running the Clean Tool failed.

As a last resort, I went into ~/Library and /Library and deleted almost every file with the word, "Adobe," in it. I then did a complete reinstall. Install completed successfully, and updates are now working, again.

It is confusing because I have two other machines running CS5 on Mac OS X, both of which update properly. If only all computers worked the same way...
