the nash kids

I was surrounded by Nashes yesterday afternoon, and it was quite overwhelming. There were kids everywhere! Of particular interest was a large, Harvard-Business-School-educated, 26 year-old kid. He kept making fascinating hand gestures, and talked a lot -- sometimes lamenting his new "no toys in 2002" rule. :) Dizzy from so much shared blood among the bbq participants, I stumbled out into the 80-degree Sunnyvale sunshine and drove back up to the darkness hovering over San Francisco, where I met up with Sarah Pont to see a play based on Winesburg, Ohio (book by Sherwood Anderson) at a playhouse in Fort Mason.

Anyway, I can't decide if I liked the play or not, but it was a good experience. :)

I assume these photos will be up eventually on the Nash Wedding site, so this page will probably lose its usefulness fairly quickly.

More pics below. I ended up (almost randomly) blacklight bowling with with Ben and Ardith (through Steve Chen, who seems to know a ton of people I know) on Friday night, and it inspired me to dig up an old photo I have of us, at their housewarming party in 1995.

Vienna is singing in my living room right now. It's funny that dreams can fulfill themselves, almost of their own accord.

I snapped some photographs of her, using the same red background that I used for portraits of Geoff and Jen. Who knew that my drapes would be so useful? :)
