WETPIXEL BAHAMAS SHARK EXPEDITION 2006: REEF SHARK AND GROUPER VIDEOS AND PHOTOS

Reef Sharks (Carcharhinus perezi) and Groupers (Epinephelus itajara and Epinephelus striatus), Bahamas

The reef sharks in the Bahamas are photogenic and more than willing to pose for portraits. Frequently on the same reefs are large Jewfish (Epinephelus itajara) and Nassau groupers ( Epinephelus striatus). Reef sharks have a pack mentality, and while one shark alone isn't really anything to worry about, bait in the water can make groups of reef sharks feisty.
