WETPIXEL BAHAMAS SHARK EXPEDITION 2006: VIDEO NOTES

Video Notes

I can't imagine a more well-suited first trip with a video camera. After all, I had already been on quite a few of these shark expeditions and was already aware of what to expect while underwater. My setup is a Sony HVR-Z1U HDV camcorder in a Light & Motion Bluefin HD housing, with Light & Motion Sunray Pro HID lights. The Bluefin HD handles wonderfully underwater: it's well-balanced, and is just slightly negative in the water (it has removeable trim weights so you can adjust its bouyancy).

During my first few dives, I had some issues with keeping the horizon level, but aside from that, I had a fantastic time capturing footage of sharks.

I don't normally have many photos of myself in the water, but on this trip, some of my friends snapped a few (below). :)
