August 20, 2004 - Mbulo Island Canyons, Marovo Lagoon (Dives 24,25)

Diving at Mbulo is open pool diving; divers suit up and jump off of the swim step at their leisure. There is a coral head just off of the stern was called "Clownfish Condo," which was encrusted with anemones and Amphiprion melanopus anemonefishes. The hard coral garden behind the condo was shallow and has been known to host two large, friendly cuttlefish (which we didn't see). I dropped in later on in the afternoon and saw two octopi, four squid, and a school of small striped catfish tumbling along, swimming one on top each another as they moved among the corals.
