WAKATOBI, DEC 2003 - FAREWELLS
[previous: special dinners] [next: dive log]

Farewells

I had a wonderful fourteen days at Wakatobi, and greatly enjoyed the company of the 16 other guests. Most of our last morning on the island was spent watching the rain come down and hoping that it wouldn't interfere with the chartered flight out to Bali. We sat in the longhouse in relative darkness, with storm shutters drawn shut all around us. At the airport, we watched the incoming flight land; all of the new guests filed directly into waiting vans, ready for a week and a half of fantastic diving.

Unfortunately, I didn't really get to say goodbye to anyone after landing in Bali. As soon as my bags came in on the baggage claim belt, I had to run off to the other terminal to catch a flight to Taipei. I'm sure we will all stay in touch. :)
